Assistant Communications Director
Reports To: Communications Director
Position Summary:
The DFC is seeking a volunteer Assistant Communications Director to support the Communications Director in managing the organization’s overall messaging and public presence. This role involves coordinating communications strategies, supporting media relations, and assisting with content creation to promote DFC’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Support
- Collaborate with the Communications Director to implement the communications strategy and adapt messaging as needed.
- Assist in developing communication plans for major initiatives, events, and campaigns.
- Team Coordination
- Support the Social Media Manager and other Communications Department team members, ensuring alignment of content across various platforms.
- Ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment.
- Content Development
- Help create and edit content, including press releases, articles, and social media posts.
- Manage the scheduling and review of content to ensure quality and alignment with DFC’s mission.
Qualifications:
- Experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
- Strong organizational and team coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
